York
Yorkshire Wheel
London Eye
The weather was very cloudy so i abandoned my plans of going on yorkshire wheel and proceeded to National Railway Museum. The museum is a massive one and takes most of your time if you are seriously interested in evolution of railways. It has a massive collection of trains from almost every era and every make. From the days of pony driven carts or the horse driven water trains of napolean times to the dawn of steam engines to the latest bullent trains of japan- it has got them all. It even has the first train started in india near bombay. One of the interesting demonstrations was that of turn table in the museum. They will demonstrate how they used to reverse the train engine by rotating the whole engine from a base. One of the attractions is the huge old chinese engine which was favourite for many visitors. There are many royal trains with all sorts luxuries inside. I will post some of the pictures i took below for the rest visit my flickr

The Cathedral
I became a huge fan of York Cathedral after my only first visit. I am sure i am gonna make one more visit to it very soon. The cathedal is massive one and very well preserved. The best thing about it is there is no restriction for photography inside. so for someone like me it is a huge boon. Ofcourse you cant take pictures in the undercroft crypt and the treasury but it is ok. The carvings on the wall are awesome and i have never seen anything like that in UK before. The paintings, the ceiling, the architecture everything is very well preserved. The only sad thing is i could not carry my tripod and got shake and the symmetry is lost in many pics i took as i was using long exposure shots. Still i am very happy with some of the pics that came. Let me post some of the pics here. One last thing about the cathedral is that it has got an undecroft area which is a well preserved street kind of thing from roman civilization. There is an audio tour which explain us the developments around this area from the roman to the medivial ages and if you like history you will certainly appreciate this.
